Antonio Luna and Gary Gardner are back in contention for Villa after recovering from injury.
Luna has resumed training after a thigh injury while Gardner has recovered from a back problem that kept him out for several weeks.
And the claret and blues also have Marc Albrighton available again after he returned from a loan spell at Wigan.
"Marc has done really well for Wigan and it gave him some games, which was good," said boss Paul Lambert.
"Antonio has been training so he will be back in the squad for the weekend."
Meanwhile, Lambert says Gabby Agbonlahor, Fabian Delph and Andreas Weimann are progressing well after coming on to help Villa earn a 2-2 draw at West Brom on Monday.
The Villa boss insisted the trio were not fit enough to start the West Midlands derby clash having been short of training time.
"Everybody seems ok from the other night," he added.
"The lads weren't fit enough to start. If we played them on Monday and then they broke down after 20 minutes it would have defeated everything that we tried to do.
"If we put them only earlier we might have lost them.
"At the right time, at the right moment, it worked. But they just weren't fit enough to start.
"They only trained on Friday. Gabby, for instance, was out for a month and Fabian was out for two or three weeks. Andi was the same.
"So the decision was 100 per cent right to put them on at that time."
