Paul Lambert believes Leandro Bacuna can be a big noise in the West Brom derby - after hailing his huge personality at Villa.
Lambert likes Bacuna's confident swagger around Bodymoor Heath and thinks this can be a key attribute as Villa look to see off the Baggies on Monday.
Lambert enjoys Bacuna's work ethic on the field and playful spirit off it.
He believes it keeps the claret and blue camp bubbling with personality ahead of the Albion encounter.
He said: "It's important to have a good team spirit and good characters in the building to carry that through. We've certainly got some really good guys.
"Leo has come in. He's got that freshness about him. At the moment he's playing really, really well for us too. He's hitting the free-kicks like he's done it all of his life!
"I don't think he ever lacks confidence! I haven't had to curtail it. But I have a wry smile on my face when I see him walking around the place.
"He's a really nice guy. He's not arrogant but he's certainly confident, that's for sure.
"He likes a laugh and he's pretty upbeat too."
Bacuna has been a whizz from deadball situation so far this term, striking home two wonder efforts against Man City and Cardiff.
The right-sided star told the press after the Bluebirds encounter that he'd happily take penalties too if Christian Benteke fancied a rest.
Lambert joked that Bacuna would have great difficulty wrestling the ball off the bruising hitman the next time a spot-kick is awarded.
He added: "We work on free-kicks and Leo hits his fair share. To be fair to him, he scores more often than not.
"It's two out of two in games, so his percentage is high!
"Penalties? Listen, he might do if he can get the ball off Christian! Then he might step up.
"I just leave it to the lads. If they're confident enough to hit them, no problem."
