Villa's match programme, always regarded among the top football publications in the country, has landed another award.
The Villa News & Record has been voted Programme of the Month by the Northern Programme Club, who will be sending a representative to our next home match against Sunderland to make the presentation.
Neil Patrterson, editor of the NPC magazine Independent View, said: "The judges were unanimous in their decision, given the incredible amount of new and special features this programme contains.
"There are clear signs that Aston Villa could be on the verge of something special as their long-established programme propels itself back among the best in the business this season.
"In terms of content, design and value for money, the News & Record has been brought back into the limelight with some stunning features."
The judges were particularly impressed with The Villa Vault, the programme's outstanding history section, which looks back at players and games ranging from the club's earliest days to last season.
"The Villa Vault has all the attributes of a feature that will pick up an award of some sort this season," said Patterson.
"It contains a remarkable crop of historical features and illustrations that have you transfixed throughout its 12 pages - well worth the £3 cover price in itself."
Programme editor Rob Bishop said: "It's always pleasing to receive this sort of recognition.
"All Premier League clubs now produce excellent programmes, so it's great to have been chosen for the award."
We offer a subscription service at £66 for the season, including postage.
European postage costs an additional £39 and worldwide postage an extra £64.
