Villa emerged victorious last night in the prestigious Football Business awards.
The 'Best UK Marketing Campaign' honour was handed to club chiefs at the star-studded evening at Stamford Bridge.
It was the Villa's drive to welcome back lapsed season ticket holders which earned the club the glorious gong in the capital.
Villa beat off competition from Man Utd, Everton, QPR and West Brom.
Commenting on the award, the judges said: "This is an outstanding example of how CRM can be used effectively to support a sales campaign.
"A well segmented and personalized marketing campaign, which delivered impressive results and significantly increased revenue."
Russell Jones, Head of Marketing, who collected the award on behalf of the team, said, "We have an exceptional marketing team here at Aston Villa and it's always nice to be recognised by your peers in the industry for creativity and original thinking.
"At the same time it gives the internal team here a huge lift and we are absolutely delighted to have won this prestigious award."
Ray Stubbs and Mark Lawrenson were the hosts for the second annual Football Business Awards where over 500 guests gathered for proceedings.
Judges for the awards included LMA CEO Richard Bevan, West Ham CEO Karren Brady, Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck, Man City COO Tom Glick and former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson.
