The Duke of Cambridge has revealed a strong desire to watch his beloved Villa alongside new son, Prince George.
William, president of the FA - an institution celebrates its 150th anniversary today, is a claret and blue fan from his very early days in Eton.
The son of Prince Charles attended the 2000 FA Cup semi-final between Villa and Bolton and went into the dressing room to congratulate the players on reaching the showpiece event after the game.
Prince Charles also revealed, when he opened the Trinity Road Stand in 2001, that he was under orders to return to Buckingham Palace with a pair of Villa socks for William.
The Duke was also spotted over Christmas 2011 donning Villa socks as he enjoyed a game of football with his pals one winter morning.
The club also sent him goodies to commemorate his 21st birthday as they did for Prince George was when he was born in July.
Asked about Prince George's football allegiances in a video message for the FA, The Duke left viewers in no doubt where his son's loyalties will lie.
