Ciaran Clark is in line for a return to the Villa squad for Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash against Everton.
The Republic of Ireland defender missed the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham last weekend with a sickness bug.
But Clark resumed training earlier this week and is in contention for the showdown against Roberto Martinez's team at Villa Park.
Gary Gardner is still struggling with a back problem, while Marc Albrighton has undergone a minor throat operation.
"Ciaran is fine," said manager Paul Lambert.
"He has trained this week and everybody else is pretty good."
Christian Benteke is also fit and ready for action after being named on the bench against Spurs.
The Belgian forward made his return as a substitute having been sidelined for four weeks with a hip flexor injury.
Lambert said it was the right decision to reintroduce Benteke as a sub given his lack of time on the training field.
"Christian had only trained for three or four days in a month," added Lambert.
"It's just not enough to put him into that scale of a game and we didn't want to re-injure him or anything like that.
"It was the right thing to bring him on and he might have scored on another day but his contribution was ok."
