Leandro Bacuna has called for a no fear approach from the team as they face Tottenham this afternoon.
Bacuna accepts the fact that Tottenham are one of the sides capable of winning the Barclays Premier League and beat Villa in the Capital One Cup some short weeks ago.
But he says Villa are on the crest of a wave still after their glorious win over Man City in B6.
Bacuna wants a positive style today as the side chase another three points on home soil.
He said: "I thought we were unlucky in the cup match. We played good in the first half but we conceded a goal at the end of that opening period.
"Now we need to continue how we have played over the last two weeks. We need to show that again.
"I think it will be a completely different game this time around.
"At the moment we are doing well. We have to go out there and show no fear.
"We are playing at home. Forget about the cup. We start this as a new game and we look to play well.
"The win over Man City gives us belief. For every player, it was a really big boost.
"It was great to get the win. Now we need to keep building.
"We need to make that level of performance the standard. If we're playing at home, we need to get the crowd behind us and play well.
"It's really special to be here. I love Birmingham and I love playing for Villa.
"The crowd are great for us, so positive and they always stick with us. That means a lot."
