Tom Hanks spoke to Heart FM this week about his Villa affection.
Hanks has been in the UK to promote his new film 'Captain Phillips', a movie about a ship's captain who heroically volunteers as a hostage to save the lives of his crew from Somali pirates.
And as part of his media interview schedule, the 57-year-old former Cast Away and Big star was asked about his allegiance to the claret and blues.
He told radio station Heart FM that the place he's desperate to visit in the entire world is Birmingham for "an Aston Villa matchday."
Hanks also went on the Sony Pictures Twitter account to take part in a Q&A to promote his latest film.
Inevitably, Hanks - who attended his first Villa game in Portland in summer 2012 - received a number of questions about his love for the claret and blue.
When pressed for a response on when he will finally make an appearance in B6, the Saving Private Ryan and Green Mile star responded: "Never been to Birmingham. That's my dream."
But that wasn't the end of the Villa references.
A Canadian follower asked Hanks about his preference for a date.
"For a date, would you prefer to be stuck on a ship like in Captain Phillips or stuck in space like in Gravity?" she asked.
"How about stuck in Birmingham on a match day? Villa v West Ham? Heaven."
