Paul Lambert wants Christian Benteke to keep his swagger on the pitch and serenity off it.
Lambert is delighted that Benteke is a big noise in the Barclays Premier League but silent away from the game.
Benteke admitted some weeks ago that he's a shy and reserved guy who doesn't chase the limelight.
Lambert is impressed with this attitude to personal matters.
He said: "He hasn't changed one bit in the last year considering the success he's had.
"If he keeps doing that, allied to what's happening on the pitch, he'll be a great player.
"As long as he doesn't think he's anything other than that.
"The group as a whole don't say much though. They give you everything on a Saturday. But there's no-one who's flamboyant or big headed."
Lambert isn't concerned that Benteke is the only striker in scoring form at present.
He's confident the likes of Andi Weimann and Gabby Agbonlahor will come good.
But, for the moment, he's delighted that the Belgian ace is in such good spirits.
He even joked about Benteke's less-than-delightful free-kick form in training on the eve of the game.
He added: "Christian is so confident at the moment that everything he seems to touch goes in.
"When he's in the last of third of the field, there's only so much you can stop him with.
"He's always a threat. But he's human, he'll make mistakes.
"The one thing he won't be doing is taking free-kicks after seeing his efforts in training this week! No chance.
"But he seems to love scoring - so as long as he keeps doing that, I'll let him carry on."
