Benteke impressed with Kozak finishing quality

Christian Benteke has backed Libor Kozak to make a big impact for Villa.

Benteke hasn't trained much with Kozak - who met the fans at a signing session on Monday - but he's confident the powerful striker will prove his worth in claret and blue.

The pair did work together at Bodymoor Heath on Thursday and Friday before the Newcastle clash at the weekend.

And Benteke was impressed with Kozak's finishing skills over those two days.

Villa's No.20 thinks the Czech ace will do well for Paul Lambert's team.

He said: "I am pleased to have Libor with us. He will help me and the team a lot. We can bounce off each other.

"I haven't trained much with him because he's been with the national team. But you can see he has good quality in finishing.

"I hope he is going to put some goals away for us."

The positive sentiment from Benteke is clearly echoed by boss Lambert.

Lambert added: "It was Libor's first game. He only came back on Thursday. It's new to him.

"He's finding his feet and bedding in. But he will do well for us."
