Paul Lambert is set to have a fully fit squad to choose from for the Newcastle clash after revealing his international stars have reported back in excellent shape.
New signing Libor Kozak, skipper Ron Vlaar, Danish duo Jores Okore and Nicklas Helenius, goalkeeper Brad Guzan and academy graduates Ciaran Clark and Andreas Weimann all returned to Bodymoor Heath today after featuring in the midweek internationals.
Christian Benteke was also away with Belgium but last week but arrived back on Tuesday.
And Lambert has been happy with the standard on show as his players prepare to return to domestic action following a two-and-a-half week break.
"Everybody trained this morning and they all seemed pretty good," said boss Lambert.
"It has been good in training this week and this morning seemed pretty good too. There are no problems at this minute.
"The lads already here have been training and the international lads came back today. Everybody is fit and training has been excellent.
"There is a lot of confidence there at the minute, you can sense that."
