Andreas Weimann says the power of the crowd will be vital this weekend against Newcastle.
Weimann knows the claret and blue faithful play a huge part in every home game.
But he insists they will be even more important against the Geordies, with seven stars on international duty on the eve of kick-off.
Weimann, along with Jores Okore, Ron Vlaar, Libor Kozak, Aleksandar Tonev, Brad Guzan and Alan Hutton, are all away with their respective countries.
He says the Villa Park faithful will help them "run that extra mile" for the cause when the going gets tough physically.
Weimann also spoke of his delight at hearing his terrace tune 'Just Can't Get Enough' by Depeche Mode belted out from the stands week after week.
He says the 1980s classic track inspires him.
He said: "Everybody has been talking about the crowd being with us last season and the start of this season.
"They've been brilliant for us. I'm sure they will be there against Newcastle again. You feel that.
"When somebody shouts your name or sings a song about you and it's loud it's going to give you another ten per cent and you're going to run the extra mile.
"Every time we play at home we go into the game and try and win it.
"We've got Newcastle next so we'll focus on that and try and get three points."
