Nathan Baker, Ciaran Clark and Antonio Luna are Villa's only injury concerns going into the Capital One Cup tie against Rotherham.
Paul Lambert will assess the fitness of the defensive trio ahead of tomorrow night's second round clash with the League One outfit.
Baker is still feeling the effects of the twisted ankle he suffered in the win over Arsenal on the opening day of the Barclays Premier League season.
Clark is still struggling with a gash to his head, which he picked up during last Wednesday's 2-1 defeat at Chelsea.
Meanwhile, full-back Luna is also a doubt for the Millers game with an unspecified injury.
But Chris Herd and Yacouba Sylla could see their first action of the new campaign after being named on the bench against Liverpool on Saturday.
"Nathan has still got his ankle strain," said boss Lambert.
"Ciaran has still got a gash on his head so we will have to wait and see. He has still got that nasty cut.
"Chris is doing fine. He's trained now for the last couple of weeks."
Lambert will decide in the next 24 hours whether to ring the changes for the cup clash.
But the manager is adamant his team will treat the Capital One Cup seriously.
"I will decide between now and tomorrow but I'm not treating it lightly," he added.
"Whoever I pick will be ready. If you are in something you go and try and win it.
"We will respect Rotherham but we are at home and we are playing well so we will try and go through."
