Fab forward Gabby Agbonlahor was picked out by BBC Sport and the Daily Mail in their respective teams of the week.
Pundits Garth Crooks and Jamie Redknapp both selected Agbonlahor after his wonder display in the 3-1 win at Arsenal.
Sky Sports analyst Redknapp, writing in his newspaper column, hailed the impact of Agbonlahor.
He said: "Gabriel is now 26. There were signs last season that he has started to grow up and he was devastating against Arsenal on Saturday.
"So here are some challenges: How many goals can he score? How many goals can he make? How much trouble can he cause?
"He can be a star. But I've always wanted more from him.
"Christian Benteke is critical for Villa, but Agbonlahor's pace makes them a counter attacking threat."
Midfield star Fabian Delph also made it into Redknapp's XI for the weekend.
Crooks was equally impressed with Agbonlahor's performance.
He added: "We saw it last season and we're seeing it again - Agbonlahor's blistering pace and power.
"Paul Lambert described the forward's performance against Arsenal as "unplayable".
"Since the turn of the year, only Christian Benteke has scored more Premier League goals for Villa than Gabby Agbonlahor."
