Andreas Weimann admits he can't wait to play at Villa Park again, as Malaga come to B6 on Saturday.
Weimann has been a rich vein of form so far this pre-season, hitting three goals.
He's relishing the encounter with the La Liga side because of the quality opposition they provide and also the chance to play on the Villa Park turf once more.
He said: "It is the last game before the season starts so we are looking forward to it and hopefully we can make a good performance.
"Everyone is looking forward to playing at Villa Park because we've not played there this pre-season so I'm sure that will be good, I'm sure.
"Malaga got far in the Champions League last season so I'm sure they'll have a good team but we'll be very up for it."
Weimann admits he's in confident mood after his exploits over the past few weeks, with goals coming against Paderborn, Crewe and Shamrock Rovers.
He believes that the pre-season schedule has been top-notch.
He added: "I've enjoyed coming back to play football. It has been really tough the last few weeks but we've got just over a week to go and I think everyone is looking forward to that.
"You need games to get fit and we've had quite a few - eight games we've played so far - so obviously that has been really helpful for us.
"Also it's been good to get the new signings involved on the pitch too.
"It is always nice to get a few goals too even if it is just pre-season. I've scored three so far so we'll see how it goes when the season starts for real.
"They have been different types of goals too. I think I can do that - score different types of goals. Hopefully I can do that in the season as well and not just in pre-season."
