Leandro Bacuna would jump at the chance of being Villa's penalty-taker this season.
Bacuna is more than aware that good pal Christian Benteke is the current man on the spot.
But the willing wideman has put himself forward if needed by Villa.
Bacuna was FC Groningen's main spot-kick star.
And he is more than happy to continue if boss Paul Lambert wants him to at any point in the season.
He said: "If the gaffer wants me to take penalties, I am there for him and the team too.
"If I am wanted on that penalty spot, I will do it definitely.
"You have to be natural in your approach to penalties. Do what feels right at that moment in time.
"I don't have one way of taking penalties. I don't always blast it. And I don't always place it. I go with my instinct.
"But one thing I will say is that when I take one, I do so with full confidence, full determination to choose how to take it and real belief that I will score.
"The belief is the main thing. When you step up, you need to have that faith that you will score."
