Jores Okore has hailed the mood at Villa, saying it's one big happy family.
Despite picking up a knock in the opening game against Rodinghausen, Okore has really felt the benefit of the pre-season training camp in Germany.
Okore has been able to spend time with the players and the coaching staff - and he's really been impressed with what he's seen.
He said: "I feel good here at Villa. I feel great to have come to a team which has made me one of the guys.
"They have made me feel at home. It's like one big family.
"I have enjoyed my time with the lads immensely. I am so happy with them. They are really good guys.
"You can talk to the lads and get a really good relationship with them. They are easy to get on with.
"I get on with all the players. It's been a great week for getting to know them and also working hard."
Okore now can't wait to make an impact in the Barclays Premier League in a side he believes can eventually develop into a "really exciting, top team."
He added: "I am looking forward to getting started and playing some games in the Premier League. I can't wait to perform for my new team.I can't wait for the season to start.
"I think we have signed some good players, with good qualities. It will make us more unique and they can make a difference for us and help us to perform well.
"We want to develop as a team and in the years to come we can become a really exciting, top team.
"I signed here because it's a young, hungry, ambitious team. I felt I could easily settle into the side and we have a really good exciting time ahead which I want to be part of."
