Journey to Germany: Eurodash to Villa pre-season tour

Villa's intrepid reporters are hitting the road to spread the claret and blue gospel across Europe.

After the success of Bullring to Bullring, Jack Woodward and Paul Brown will once again be taking the scenic route to Villa's pre-season training camp.

Instead of a flight out to Germany from Birmingham with the team, Jack and Paul will head to the training camp via France and Holland.

Paul will be blogging along the route while Jack will be producing a daily vlog.

They'll be setting off on Tuesday to meet the Dutch Lions at the Hilton Hotel in Rotterdam, where the 1982 European Cup heroes stayed the night before the final.

Then they will make their way to Feyenoord's stadium - De Kuip - to recreate Peter Withe's winning goal on the site of the showpiece event which a fond place in the hearts of all Villa fans, young and old.

From there, they'll head straight to the first game on Wednesday night, as Paul Lambert's men meet SV Rodinghausen.

Once in camp, the coverage will be absolutely unrivalled.

On AVTV - the club's in-house television channel - you'll be able to enjoy an in-depth, exclusive interview with Paul Lambert as he talks through his first season in charge, his hopes for his second campaign as well as his football philosophies and career to date.

Skipper Ron Vlaar will also be sitting down for an extensive piece with AVTV to discuss his aspirations for the new term and how the team are shaping up on tour.

There will be Live Chats and Tour Diaries too.

You'll get pre-match and post-match interviews with the headline-makers in all three matches.

Add to that, training video footage and picture galleries and we think you'll agree, is the place to be this summer.
