Villa appoint Mytton and Farmer as joint Grounds Manager

Long-standing Villa employees Paul Mytton and Graeme Farmer have been appointed Grounds Manager at Villa Park and the Bodymoor Heath Training Ground respectively.

Integral members of the Club's much-lauded grounds staff over a combined 17 years, Paul and Graeme will assume responsibilities from Jonathan Calderwood who has taken up a position with Paris St Germain.

It has been decided to split the role of Grounds Manager - with Paul assuming the title of Stadium Grounds Manager and Graeme the role of Bodymoor Heath Grounds Manager.

They will assume their new senior management responsibilities from Monday, May 27.

Their hard work and dedication to the Club has been recognised over many years.

Highly-skilled and key members of the hard-working grounds staff, their hard work and dedication enabled the Club and Jonathan to accumulate many Groundsman and Pitch Awards which have been a source of real pride.

The Club will retain the same team members who also contributed greatly to these achievements and we look forward to continuing and enhancing those high standards and successes in the years to come.

Paul, Graeme and the entire grounds staff join us, too, in wishing Jonathan every success in his move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Club knows that the tremendous work which has been done to make the Villa Park pitch of the highest standard will continue to be carried out in safe and capable hands.
