A new role at the club, the community coordinator will play a wide-ranging role, principally responsible for overseeing a new programme along with coordinating the club's engagement activities.

As part of the community initiatives of the club, the community coordinator will play a key role in an exciting and innovative new programme centred around volunteering.

The individual will manage its day-to-day operational success and need to make the project their own.

The project requires the individual to be comfortable working with students and managing volunteers as part of our community efforts.

The project also requires a comfort level with adding data to our monitoring and evaluation software and budgetary management of the programme. In addition the community coordinator will play a pivotal role in the club's community engagement activities.

The individual will coordinate the schedules of our 'Fan Squad' team to go out and about across the city and represent the club at major events.

In addition the individual will find activities and events in Birmingham for the team to go to.

The individual will also provide maternity cover for the Premier League 4 Sport community programme to increase supports participation across a range of sports.

The community coordinator will be the main link between the club and NGBs, who deliver for our programme.

Working four days a week, the individual will report to the Community Relationship Manager and work with the community plus the marketing and communications teams.

The person must have an energetic and vibrant personality with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with all stakeholders including the general public.

The individual must be highly organised and take the initiative to find solutions quickly.

Experience of working with volunteers or within the volunteering industry would be an asset.

A degree in a business related discipline or with an element of social responsibility/sociology is desired or you must have related work experience in a business/CSR environment.

The individual must also have a desire to make a difference in the community.
