Brad Guzan was keen to share the adulation with his Villa team-mates following his double success at the end-of-season awards.
Guzan was the big winner at the glittering ceremony, picking up the Players' Player and Supporters' Player of the Year awards.
The USA goalkeeper paid tribute to the claret and blue faithful as well as his team-mates who voted for him in the two top categories.
But Guzan - who rejoined the club in July having left when his contract expired two months earlier - believes there are plenty of other players who deserve credit for stepping up to the plate at various points in the campaign.
"We have two more games to go but from a personal standpoint, I'm very thankful of the support, of the confidence my team-mates have in me and obviously the fans," he said.
"The fans have been such a class act from day one and they are always right behind us.
"You need your team-mates and to have them in front of you blocking shots and stopping crosses and tackling - doing all those things that go unnoticed that help me as a goalkeeper - is tremendous.
"It has been a complete team effort this year. In certain games guys have stepped up big time like Gabby at Norwich.
"They are examples of guys stepping up and contributing to the greater cause."
