Gabby Agbonlahor spoke of the huge win at Norwich and dedicated his two goals to the tremendous away following who spurred the team on.
Agbonlahor said he was delighted with his brace but more thrilled with the three points which shot the team up the Barclays Premier League.
After both wondrous strikes, Agbonlahor shot off to celebrate with the fans.
And talking to AVTV on the final whistle, Agbonlahor paid tribute to those same supporters who cheered the side from first minute to last.
He said: "I am delighted for everyone.
"I am delighted for the fans for making this four hour journey - if not longer.
"It's massive to see how many of them come to watch us and support us.
"It was massive for the team too. Hopefully it can continue for us.
"It was great to celebrate both of my goals with the away fans. It's always good to do that with the supporters because of the sacrifices they make week-in and week-out following us.
"It's nice to give them something back.
"It's obviously great to play at home at Villa Park but it's great to play away too, with the support we bring."
Agbonlahor was over-the-moon at the result.
He added: "It was a special day. To get the goals was a big thing but the main fact was getting the result as a team. It was a massive result for us.
"Everyone was happy afterwards. It was huge.
"We weren't happy with the way we played in the first half. But after the break there were more gaps and we attacked more. Thankfully we got the result."
