Paul Lambert believes Joe Bennett is starting to show the sort of form which prompted Villa to sign him in the summer transfer window.
Bennett was snapped up from Middlesbrough in August as Lambert looked to bolster his side for the campaign ahead.
But the left-back has been in and out of the side all term as he's strived to get used to the increased pace and quality in the Barclays Premier League.
Nathan Baker has often played at full-back, with Enda Stevens also enjoying a stint there too.
But Bennett has come into his own in the last three games, starting against Liverpool, Stoke and Fulham.
Lambert thinks Bennett is improving all the time and will only get better.
He said: "I think in the last few games Joe has been excellent, I really do.
"He's starting to look like the lad we wanted to bring.
"I think the last few weeks he's been right on top of his game.
"He can definitely deliver the ball. There have been some big tests for him lately. But I think he has coped very well with it."
