The 29-year-old was a regular starter for the relegation-threatened side in the first half of the season, but has made just three substitute appearances since the middle of January.

Setanta Sports: Paul Lambert is pleased that Brett Holman has voiced his unhappiness at being left out of the Aston Villa team. Holman was a regular member of Paul Lambert's team during the first half of the season, but the 29-year-old has made just three substitute appearances since January.
