Goalkeeper Brad Guzan has scooped Villa's player of the month award for March.

Guzan's man-of-the-match display in the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool 10 days ago was enough to see him edge out team-mates Andreas Weimann, Fabian Delph, Ashley Westwood and Christian Benteke.

The American ace earned three points for his star performance, adding to the four points he had already gained from coming second place in the Manchester City and QPR polls.

Weimann topped the QPR man-of-the-match poll, with Delph winning against Man City and Sylla against Reading.

Benteke also earned three points for a second place finish against Liverpool and third against Reading, as did Westwood for coming second against Reading and third against QPR.

The polls award three points for first, two points for second and one point for third.

In the overall player of the year standings, Guzan [32 points] is now five points clear of Weimann [27], with Benteke in third place on 24.

The points from all the games will be calculated at the end of the season and the winner will receive the player of the year award - the Mars-sponsored Terrace Trophy.

Previous winners of this prestigious award include Gareth Barry, Stiliyan Petrov, James Milner, Dennis Mortimer and Nigel Sims.

Make sure you get your vote in for the game against Stoke City, which will go towards the April award.
