Lambert was frustrated at the manner of the goals conceded but upbeat after a performance high on quality in various stages of the ninety minutes.

Villa boss Lambert also predicted plenty of twists and turns between now and the end of the season as his team look ahead to the final seven games of the campaign.

Guzan, meanwhile, was also upbeat despite the defeat.

Villa's No.22, in fine form again, admitted he couldn't do anything about either goal.

But he insisted the players are very much in it together for the season finale.

He said the result had not dented confidence and they will fire each other up in the remaining games.

Villa's European Cup winner of 1982, Tony Morley, also gave his reaction following the defeat.

He was impressed with the performance of Guzan, who he believes will be the PFA goalkeeper of the season at the end of the term.

But the former wing wonder was frustrated at both goals, especially the penalty which he felt could have been avoided.

Despite his disappointment, Morley too is confident for the remaining games.
