Christian Benteke created a piece of Villa history when he scored Villa's 1,000th Premier League goal.
Twenty years after Dalian Atkinson netted the first, the Belgium international brought up the magical 1,000 mark with his 33rd-minute equaliser against Reading at the Madejski Stadium.
To celebrate the feat, we recall Villa's other milestone goals in the Premier League.
The new release - Aston Villa 1,000 Premier League Goals - is a superb double DVD and is available for £16. It is on sale now.
No.1 - Dalian Atkinson scored Villa's first Premier League goal in the club's opening game in the new competition, a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Saturday August 15, 1992.
Villa trailed to a first-half Gavin Johnson strike, but with seven minutes remaining substitute Cyrille Regis squared the ball for Atkinson to net against his former club.
Four days later, Atkinson had the distinction of scoring the first Premier League goal at Villa Park, firing past John Lukic in the 77th minute to put Villa ahead against Leeds United.
A Gary Speed equaliser six minutes from the end saw the game finish 1-1.
No. 100 - Stefan Beinlich scored only one Villa goal but it was the club's 100th in the Premier League.
The milestone was reached in the 10th minute of the match against Newcastle United at St James' Park on April 27,1994.
The German striker volleyed home from 20 yards from Andy Townsend's knock-down, although the Magpies went on to win 5-1.
The 100th Premier League goal at Villa Park was scored by Savo Milosevic as he completed a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory over Coventry City in December 1995.
No. 200 - Mark Draper headed home Alan Wright's free-kick on the stroke of half-time against Nottingham Forest in April 1999 for the club's 200th Villa Park Premier League goal.
Second-half substitute Garry Barry netted on 57 minutes for a 2-0 win.
The defeat condemned Forest to relegation and within 24 hours their manager, former Villa boss Ron Atkinson, announced he was retiring from management.
No. 250 - Dwight Yorke netted Villa's 250th Premier League goal when he equalised on 81 minutes at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday April 19,1997, the day the club commemorated 100 years at Villa Park.
Ramon Vega had given Spurs the lead in the 54th minute, but when Spurs keeper Ian Walker failed to hold Steve Staunton's powerful cross shot, the rebound fell invitingly to Yorke for his 20th goal of the season.
Four years later Dion Dublin scored the club's 250th Villa Park Premier League goal when he netted from Alan Wright's neat chip after just 75 seconds in a 2-1 victory over Everton.
No. 500 - Marcus Allback's 66th-minute strike against Fulham on Saturday November 9, 2002 brought up Villa's 500 in the Premier League.
Gareth Barry's low cross was superbly controlled by Oyvind Leonhardsen, allowing Allback to fire hard and low with his left foot past keeper Edwin Van Der Sar.
Villa went on to win 3-1, and each home goal was significant - it was Allback's first Villa league goal, while Juan Pablo Angel's hit his first of the season and Leonhardsen claimed his first for the club.
The club's 500th Premier League home goal came from a penalty converted by Ashley Young in a 4-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers in February 2011.
Young beat keeper Paul Robinson from the spot in the 49th minute after being brought down by Keith Andrews.
No. 750 - Martin Laursen scored Villa's 750th Premier League goal when sent a 55th-minute downward header past Reading keeper Marcus Hahnemann on Saturday January 12, 2008.
John Carew had provided an interval lead before Laursen met Ashley Young's corner for the milestone goal.
Carew extended the lead as Villa won 3-1.
Villa players have also netted other milestone goals during the Premier League era.
On December 7, 1996 Andy Townsend and Chris Sutton jointly claimed to have scored the 5,000 Premier League goal.
Townsend scored at The Dell to give Villa a 1-0 win against his former club Southampton, and at the same time Sutton was on target for Blackburn Rovers at Leicester.
Marc Albrighton scored the league's 20,000th goal on Wednesday December 21, 2011 when he equalised against Arsenal.
Villa lost 2-1 but Albrighton's goal earned £20,000 for the club's charity partner Acorns Children's Hospice.
Dion Dublin, meanwhile, scored his 100th Premier League goal in Villa's 4-1 home win against West Ham United in November 2002 - and Darren Bent reached his century in a 2-2 home draw against QPR in February 2012.
