Paul Lambert offered up a sincere "thank-you" to the fans as they cheered Villa on to a vital victory over Reading - and then called for another gargantuan effort on Saturday.
Supporters from B6 cheered, shouted, cajoled and screamed their way through ninety minutes in Berkshire as they inspired the claret and blue troops on the pitch to a famous win.
Lambert was suitably impressed and asked the claret and blue army to "drive the team on" in their next huge game against QPR.
He is confident the fans will now back the boys big-time.
He said: "I thought the fans were brilliant at Reading.
"From what I've seen and felt in my time here they've been right behind us. You can sense it.
"I think they can sense the team growing, which is great.
"It's a big massive thank-you to the fans for the way that they've reacted. It's nice to send them home happy because they've travelled everywhere.
"It's not just a couple of hundred either. They travel in their thousands to watch and support us. That's the beauty of it.
"Our crowd are brilliant. You heard it. Our crowd are absolutely fantastic. They're right behind us.
"They were driving us on and they'll come again on Saturday to show their support for us, which we're going to need.
"We're at home, we have momentum and we will have a massive crowd behind us.
"If we keep doing what we're doing - and everyone sticks together, that's the players, the fans and the staff - we'll be all right. We will keep going."
