Gabby Agbonlahor says Jordan Bowery is progressing massively in training.
Agbonlahor is a big fan of Bowery, who joined Premier League Villa from League Two Chesterfield just before the season-start.
Agbonlahor likes what he's seen of Bowery at Bodymoor and insists there's been definite improvement.
Bowery also impressed Agbonlahor with his wideman role in the engaging win over West Ham.
He said: "Jordan is a big strong player - a hold-up player. He's got a yard of pace as well.
"It's all new to him. He is getting used to the tempo of the Premier League.
"He's learning every day and the boys have noticed in training that he's getting better. I reckon he will become a really good player."
Agbonlahor thinks Bowery is an adaptable forward who can play out wide if needed.
He believes that will serve the 21-year-old well as his claret and blue career continues.
He added: "It was good for him to get some time on the pitch against West Ham and get some experience of the Premier League.
"He's had time out on the wing, which is not his favoured role. He's a striker but as you've seen with me, you will play anywhere.
"He's adapted well and done well when he has played. It's good for the gaffer because he has got a lot of options."
