Villa v Bradford latest: Club give weather update on semi-final

Villa are confident that the Capital One Cup semi-final clash with Bradford will go ahead as planned.

As everyone knows, there has been snow over the past four days.

But the club would like to advise fans that it's all systems go for the second leg clash on Tuesday.

Villa Park's pitch is in fantastic condition while the surrounding areas are clear - and being cleared if there is further snow.

As is always the case with inclement weather, we also advise fans to plan their journey carefully.

Where possible, we advise using public transport. Before using public transport, please check with providers that services will be operating as usual on the evening.

If you are driving to Villa Park, please car share where possible to reduce the number of vehicles attending the match. Also use official car parks only.

If you are travelling from the north, please use junction seven of the M6 and access car parks north of the stadium.

The nearer you park to the ground, the more likely you are to encounter traffic congestion after the match.

This would be a good fixture to use car parks such as Star City, as these are unlikely to be affected by post match traffic.

Please wear sensible footwear that takes the snowy/icy conditions into account.

Please leave in plenty of time before the match to avoid pre-match traffic build up - much earlier than you would for other midweek fixtures.

The Residents Parking Zone will be in operation as normal. Parking in streets around the ground may see your vehicle issued with a parking penalty of up to £60.

All taxi firms will be operating as normal both before and after the match, but please be aware that additional traffic may mean you have to wait to secure a cab.

Tickets are still available for the big game and on general sale.

There will be free flags available to all home supporters to help give the game a rousing atmosphere as Villa eye the Capital One Cup final.

All you need to do is pop into Villa Park or contact the box office hotline on 0800 612 0970.

We also have a number of hospitality opportunities available for this exciting clash, including a fantastic value 1874 package which is inclusive of a four-course meal and VIP seating for just £125 [plus VAT per person].

For more information, please contact call 0800 612 0960 [option one].
