Ciaran Clark believes facing Christian Benteke regularly in training will prepare him for the "big presence" of Romelu Lukaku on Saturday.
Clark thinks Benteke and Lukaku are very similar players, showing power and pace in abundance.
And Villa skipper Clark insists that battling Benteke day after day at Bodymoor Heath will help him cope with the threat of Lukaku at the Hawthorns this weekend.
He also plans on chatting to Benteke to pick up pointers on how to handle the 19-year-old on-loan Baggies striker.
He said: "Facing Christian will help me prepare. They are similar players.
"It will be a tough game and they have a number of strikers who can play and a number of tough opponents.
"We know it will be difficult but I am sure we will stick together and bounce back.
"Lukaku came on in the game at Villa Park so I've seen him play before and come up against him.
"He's a powerful guy and a big presence but we have to try to manage that and think positively.
"It's a big game for us and the supporters too. It's a local derby and they have been doing well this season.
"But we have shown that we can do well against any team.
"It will be a good game and hopefully we'll get the three points."
