Matt Lowton says Christian Benteke is ferocious on the pitch - and funny off it.
Benteke has really settled into life at Villa, with player after player coming out to praise him in media interviews.
Generally it's been about his performances in claret and blue but Lowton is keen to stress the good humour Benteke brings to proceedings at Bodymoor Heath during the week too.
He said: "Christian has been brilliant.
"He doesn't speak a massive amount of English but he knows enough to get by.
"He's funny, a funny guy, a great lad and it's fantastic we have him in our team.
"I wouldn't like to be defending against him! You saw the other weekend at Liverpool, he played against two seasoned internationals and he didn't give them a moment's peace.
"He's been doing that all season really. He's getting the goals as well and all the credit's coming his way now."
Lowton was eager to praise his strike partner, Andi Weimann, too.
Weimann has shown off his clinical touch in games against Norwich and Liverpool and Lowton believes there's more to come from the Austrian ace.
He added: "Andi has been putting in some great performances and I saw the gaffer saying the other day that he left him out to protect him because of the amount of energy he's put into the games.
"You look at the stats after the games and the amount of running he's doing at a high intensity is unreal.
"The gaffer was protecting him so he was fresh if needed and you saw that on Saturday at Anfield.
"He was fresh and look what he did! The second goal summed up our season up to now.
"We were passing it and it was great for Andi to get another goal."
