Paul Lambert has paid tribute to Matt Lowton on the eve of the Chelsea game, insisting: "He's low maintenance."
Lambert says it's simple to manage Lowton because he never puts a foot out of line off the field - and produces high-quality performances on it.
He'll have to be at his best this weekend at Stamford Bridge as he looks set to face Juan Mata but Lambert will be confident that Lowton can cope.
He said: "Matt is so easy to manage as he is really low maintenance.
"He's been out there every week too.
"The great thing for me is I know what I'm going to get from him. I know that. He is as honest as the day is long.
"He's one that might be overlooked because he's playing so well at the moment."
Lambert also praised his opposite flanker Eric Lichaj, who has been doing admirably on his less-favoured left-side.
Boss Lambert has not been surprised at his ease of display and thinks he will continue putting in excellent performances.
He added: "Eric doesn't surprise me because I think he can do it.
"He's not a natural on the left but he's been excellent.
"It's a big ask for him to play a side which is not natural to him but he's done it well.
