Paul Lambert has backed Brett Holman to fire in more goals for Villa after his debut strike at QPR.
Lambert was thrilled with Holman's 20-yard left-foot scorcher at Loftus Road as it helped the lions earn a creditable 1-1 draw in the capital.
Lambert said it was just reward for Holman, who has worked his socks off for the club since joining from AZ Alkmaar on a free transfer.
Holman has been close on countless occasions, Ben Foster and Wojciech Szczesny making fine saves for West Brom and Arsenal in previous games.
Now he's found the net, it's time for more of the same, insisted Lambert.
He said: "It was a terrific move and a great finish by Brett and it gave us something to work with.
"He has threatened to do that a few times and his energy levels are extremely high. I thought it was a fabulous strike from him.
"It was his first Premier League goal so hopefully that will give him confidence to go and get a few more goals now. I thought Brett was great.
"He was excellent against Reading and also against Swansea. So Brett has been good overall since he has been here.
"It is a different environment for him and he has only been here a short time so he is still adapting to little things and getting used to the Premier League."
