Man Utd U21 v Villa U21 team news: Carruthers and Burke in action

By Dan Harrison

Samir Carruthers, Graham Burke and Derrick Williams are the most experienced names in Villa's line-up for the Barclays U21 Premier League game against Manchester United tonight.

The trio, who have all been involved with the first team squad over the past 12 months, are set to feature in the clash at Altrincham's Moss Lane.

There is also a return to action for defender Joshua Webb, who has been on the sidelines for four months through injury.

Burke will continue his blossoming partnership with fellow Irishman Michael Drennan in attack, while Jack Grealish is back from international duty with Republic of Ireland U19.

Craig Hill - man-of-the-match in last week's 2-1 win over Sunderland - continues in goal with Benjamin Siegrist out injured.

Coach Gordon Cowans is without midfield duo Daniel Johnson and Courtney Cameron, who are out on loan at Yeovil Town and Rotherham United respectively.

United are set to welcome back Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez from international commitments.

Portuguese forward Bebe has also been named in their squad.

Follow all the action with our live audio and text commentary from 7pm.

VILLA: Hill, Barton, Webb, Ward, Donacien, Williams, Graham, Carruthers, Drennan, Burke, Grealish. Subs: Watkins-Clark, Barrett, Melvin, Kinsella.
