Villa v Norwich: El Ahmadi says belief is key to delivering results

By Dan Harrison

Karim El Ahmadi believes it is only a matter of time before Villa start producing the results to match their performances.

El Ahmadi reckons the claret and blues are unlucky not to have more points on the board after an up and down start to the Barclays Premier League campaign.

But he is confident that Paul Lambert's team will be rewarded with a string of maximum hauls if they continue to believe in their current football philosophy.

Villa have departed empty handed from their last two away games despite enjoying positive spells against Tottenham and Fulham.

El Ahmadi, though, is backing the side to deliver a complete performance sooner rather than later.

"We are close to the bottom three but from what I see there is no team we have played against that have destroyed us or are much better than us," he said.

"The only game we've lost where I think the other team was much better was Everton.

"But in the other games we played I think we could have made a draw or a win.

"The most important thing is we keep our heads high.

"We have a good team and we have to show it against Norwich.

"We expect to have more points than now. I think if you see the games, we could have more points by now.

"It is not like the teams we are played are much better than us, it is more like we are unlucky.

"I think it is important to have faith that we can win games at this level."

Make sure you're here to back the boys against Norwich City.
