Fulham v Villa: Bowery hails Lambert's winning mentality

By Paul Brown

Jordan Bowery says the pre-match message from manager Paul Lambert will be no different this week when Villa travel to Fulham: "Go out and win!"

Bowery insists that's been the positive outlook of the gaffer before each game this term.

Villa's new powerful forward says this firm focus on picking up three points is "drilled" into the players.

Bowery is relishing travelling to the capital with the claret and blues and says confidence in camp is high, despite the Tottenham loss in the last encounter.

He said: "We're looking forward to the Fulham game. We lost at Tottenham but we could have won that game, we had some good chances and played some good football.

"We won't dwell on that result though. We'll concentrate on the performance and try to beat Fulham.

"We're confident and we'll be going up there to win. We just need to keep our focus and play well on the day.

"They have a good team with some good players but we'll be aiming to win.

"That's what the manager drills into us. We'll go there to try and get the three points."

Make sure you're here to back the boys against Norwich City.
