Tottenham v Villa podcast: Holman and Bennett star ahead of Spurs

Brett Holman and Joe Bennett are among the star guests on this week's official podcast ahead of the Tottenham Hotspur clash.

Holman joins us to look ahead to the White Hart Lane trip and discusses his hard-working performances for Villa so far.

The Australian midfielder praises his team-mates and vows to open his claret and blue goalscoring account soon after getting into some good shooting positions against West Brom.

Bennett reflects on his first home appearance in the Baggies draw.

The defender spells out his determination to hold on to the left-back spot after starting against Manchester City and West Brom.

Manager Paul Lambert assesses the striking options at his disposal, with Gabby Agbonlahor back to full fitness and new signing Christian Benteke making an impressive start.

He says every player is looking over their shoulder because of the fierce competition in the claret and blue ranks.

Marc Albrighton applauds the energy shown by Holman in his early games for Villa.

The winger tells us he is delighted to be back in action after missing the start of the season with a foot injury.

We also hear from two of Villa's European Cup-winning legends.

Tony Morley - a regular AVTV pundit - also reveals he is a big Brett Holman fan and he praises the former AZ Alkmaar man's work-rate.

Gordon Cowans - Villa's development coach - discusses the early progress of deadline day signing Jordan Bowery after his goal in the 3-3 draw against Tottenham U21s at White Hart Lane.

You can also relive the goals from that clash, as well as the best moments from derby day against West Brom.

There is comment from former Villa players Steve Froggatt and Steve Staunton too, while don't forget to listen out for your chance to have a say in next week's podcast.
