Golf fan Brad Guzan says he's desperate to celebrate Villa and USA victories on Sunday.
Villa take on West Brom in the derby that afternoon before the singles shootout decides the Ryder Cup later that night.
Guzan wants to kick back on the sofa in the evening, fresh from a win over the Baggies win and watch the likes of Tiger Woods, Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson do the business against Jose Maria Olazabal's Europeans at Chicago's Medinah course.
Guzan believes home advantage will play a big part in the big sporting double.
He said: "I'd definitely prefer the chance to save a penalty to ensure the Villa win in the last minute against West Brom than holing a putt to win the Ryder Cup on the final hole for the USA! Hopefully it wouldn't come to that. Hopefully we'd be three-up by that time!
"The West Brom game and the Ryder Cup will both be exciting for sure.
"I just know the intensity the fans bring to the environment, the course and the tee boxes on every hole throughout all three days of the Ryder Cup. It's incredible.
"The atmosphere is crazy. Being in my hometown - Chicago - which is sports-mad - I am sure it will be more of the same this year.
"Derbies are always tight, tense affairs much like the Ryder Cup!
"I think home advantage plays a part in both events. Whenever you have your own fans cheering you on and getting behind you it makes a big difference.
"You don't have to worry about getting heckled - you can build on the energy and feed off it. Hopefully for Villa and Team USA it will be a good outcome.
"I want a back-to-back win! I want to kick back and be celebrating a derby win and a golf classic on Sunday night."
