Brad Guzan says tiredness won't be a factor in the clash with West Brom - with the players riding the crest of a wave following the marvellous Manchester City win.
Guzan insists Lambert's Lions will roar against the Baggies in the first big derby of the season.
Villa's USA goalkeeper believes the adrenalin flowing through the veins of the cup heroes will still be coursing when Sunday arrives.
He said: "Don't worry about tiredness - we will be ready for the West Brom game.
"The adrenalin will keep us going for the derby game. I also believe the fact the games are on Tuesday and Sunday gives us that extra time to recuperate ahead of the West Brom match.
"The boys who played will be able to get their legs back from under them.
"We gave it everything against Manchester City. And we will give it absolutely everything for the West Brom match.
"When you play in any match it's full on intensity throughout, you don't leave anything out on the pitch. I don't expect anything less from the boys on Sunday.
"We will be giving it absolutely everything we've got as we go in search of the win."
Guzan sat out the third round win at the Etihad Stadium but watched on as Villa excelled for 120 minutes of classic cup football.
Guzan says the players did an "unbelievable job" to win the match.
He added: "Obviously a team like Man City have big names on the pitch, on the bench and in the stands too!
"For us it was a fantastic opportunity for some lads who haven't been in to go out and show themselves and they did against full-on internationals.
"They did an unbelievable job and full credit to them for that."
