The Republic of Ireland have named a trio of Villa players in their squads for games next month.
Midfielder Samir Carruthers has returned to the U21 squad for their crunch European Championship qualifiers with Hungary and Italy, while youngsters Jack Grealish and Michael Drennan have been named in the U19 squad for their match in Latvia.
Carruthers missed the 1-0 home defeat to Turkey last time out, which has made these next two fixtures must-win for the Irish if they are to have any hope of qualifying for next summer's finals in Israel.
Noel King's side travel to Kecskemet to take on Hungary on Thursday September 6, before heading to Cassano on Monday September 10 for their final qualifier against Italy.
Former Villa striker James Collins has also been named in the squad, fresh from scoring a hat-trick in Swindon's Capital One Cup defeat of Stoke.
Youngsters Drennan and Grealish have been called up to Paul Doolin's squad for the U19 friendly at the Arkadija Stadium in Riga, on Saturday September 8.
Striker Drennan has made a blistering start to the season scoring in his first two matches, while Grealish has had some impressive performances for Villa's U19 and U21 sides this season.
