Alex McLeish has been boosted by the news Carlos Cuellar, Charles N'Zogbia, Ciaran Clark and Nathan Delfouneso will be fit to face Manchester United.
Cuellar [thigh], N'Zogbia [knee], Clark [knee] and Delfouneso [hip] have all recovered in time for the trip to Old Trafford.
Chris Herd misses out due to the after-effects of his head injury against Stoke while Stephen Warnock is touch and go because of the ankle problem he picked up in the same game.
Fabian Delph, who was originally thought to be out for the season, is closing in on a return to action, although the Manchester United clash will come too soon.
Cuellar has missed the Chelsea, Liverpool and Stoke games while N'Zogbia has been absent for Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Stoke.
Clark has not been involved since the Newcastle game at the start of February.
Delfouneso last turned out for Villa in the draw at Stoke in December.
McLeish said: "Charles, Carlos, Ciaran and Nathan are all available.
"Chris will miss out because of head knock.
"Fabian has trained this week. We thought he might be okay for last week but he didn't make it and he's not quite available for this one. This game may be too soon for him.
"Nathan has looked sharp in training. He would want to play catch-up on Andreas I would think. That would be an incentive for him."
