Goalkeeper Elliot Parish has completed a permanent move to Championship side Cardiff City.

The academy graduate has been on loan with the Bluebirds since the start of the season and has decided to remain in the Welsh capital.

Parish joined Villa in 2006 and was part of the U18 team that won the Barclays Premier Academy League as well as reaching FA Youth Cup semi-finals in 2007-08.

The 21-year-old from Northampton also represented England at the U20 World Cup in 2009.

His first taste of senior football came last season during a loan spell at Lincoln City.

Meanwhile, defender Shane Lowry has extended his loan deal at Millwall until the end of January.

The Australian defender has made a string of appearances for the Lions in the Championship this term alongside fellow Villa loanee Nathan Baker.

Lowry will be eligible to play in Millwall's FA Cup third round clash against Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday.
