Guests at Villa's popular VMF restaurant sampled some of the finest local cheeses around at the latest food champions evening.
Nearly 70 guests had an evening to remember when they attended the event at VMF in the Trinity Road stand's Directors suite.
It was simply a cheese feast with a four-course menu which the VMF students helped to design.
Each course featured an element of cheese, with the main ingredient being provided by four of our favourite cheese suppliers from the five counties.
These included Lightwood Cheeses from Worcestershire, Bertelin Dairy from Staffordshire, Fowler's Forest Dairies from Warwickshire and Mr Moyden's Handmade Cheeses from Shropshire.
The delicious meal was finished off with a stunning array of the artisan cheeses of the producers.
The glorious grub certainly went down a treat with Russell and Estelle Palmer who attended the event.
"VMF was superb last night," said Russell. "Four-courses and all the cheese you can eat to finish. We ate our own bodyweight in cheese!
"We're definitely looking to book on to the next champions evening."
Guests enjoyed starters including summer vegetable soup with Lightwood Little Urn crisps and Bertelin twice baked souffle with rocket salad, beetroot puree and micro greens.
This was followed by a main course of fillet of Yieldfield Farm beef with braised blade, Mr Moyden's blue cheese béarnaise, duck fat chips, confit tomato, local spinach and portobello mushroom.
There was a choice of desserts - a selection of cheeses from local producers from the five counties served with homemade bread, crackers and chutneys, or a summer berry cheesecake using soft creamed cheese with a ginger base.
VMF reopens its doors to the public on Friday August 12.
The next VMF food champions event will be a Spanish evening which takes place on Friday September 23.
