Are there Security measures in place?
We want everyone to stay safe during their visit, and we operate a range of security procedures to keep everyone safe.
We work with West Midlands Police who carry out regular Project Servator deployments in Birmingham and the surrounding area of Villa Park. Specialist uniformed and plain clothes officers are trained to spot the signs of hostile reconnaissance or that someone may be preparing to commit a crime. Deployments can pop up anywhere and at any time, so don’t be alarmed if you see more police than you were expecting to. There’s nothing to worry about, and they’re happy to talk to you about how they’re working to keep you safe.
You can help to keep everyone safe by letting a police officer, steward or member of security staff know straight away if you see or hear something that doesn’t feel right. Don’t wait for someone else to report. In an emergency, always call 999.
Please note : we operate a zero-tolerance policy with regards to alcohol and drugs being brought into the Stadium. Anyone in possession of alcohol, non-prescribed drugs/ illegal substances will not be permitted entry even if they hold a valid ticket.
Will I get searched?
All persons will be searched prior to entry in line with the procedures in place for your safety. We strongly advise that you minimise the number of items you bring as this will speed up your entry.
It is now an offence, punishable by up to 3 months imprisonment, to possess a pyrotechnic, flare or similar device whilst attending, entering or inside a concert venue. Anyone in possession of these or any other prohibited items may be refused entry and the items confiscated.
Can I bring a bag?
To speed up your entry, we ask that people do not bring a bag to the event if possible. If you need to bring a bag, this must be no bigger than A4 in size and will be searched. Anything listed on our prohibited items will be confiscated before entry and any bags bigger than A4 will not be permitted into the stadium. Please refer to our Concert Accessibility page for details on bag exemptions for medical equipment/food & drink requirements. Please note that there is no cloakroom or left luggage areas at the Stadium.
What are the prohibited items?
Can I bring food and drink?
Sealed, plastic water bottles up to 500ml/50cl are permitted into the Stadium. However, to satisfy our Safety Certificate, bottle tops will be removed on entry.
No other food or drink will be permitted into the Stadium, but there will be a wide range of refreshments that are available to purchase inside the venue.
Water refill points are also available around the stadium.
Can I bring a reusable water bottle?
Please note that empty, clear, plastic reusable water bottles are allowed to be brought into the Stadium for seated customers. Unfortunately, for safety reasons we cannot permit them onto the pitch standing areas however, so any coming through Standing gates will be confiscated.
Can I leave the Stadium and return?
For safety and security reasons, we operate a ‘no pass-out policy’.
Can I buy Food and Drink at the venue?
There will be multiple bars and food outlets situated around all areas of the Stadium, serving food, snacks, alcoholic and soft drinks all day/evening. There are also bars at the rear of the standing area for standing ticket holders.
We will be operating a Challenge 25 policy for alcohol purchase, so please bring identification with you. Forms of ID that will be accepted include passports or a photographic driving licence.
Please note that bottle tops will be removed at point of service and that drinks will be decanted into cups when entering the standing pitch.
How can I pay for goods at the Stadium?
Please note that the Stadium is a cashless-venue.
Can I bring suncream?
Suncream will be permitted.
Can I bring an umbrella?
Unfortunately, umbrellas are on the list of prohibited items for safety reasons and so they don’t block the viewing experience of fellow fans. We therefore advise you to pay particular attention to the weather forecast and dress appropriately for the expected conditions.
Can I smoke or vape in the Stadium?
No but you can go outside to the extended concourses on all stands once they open up.
Will special effects be used during the show?
It is anticipated there will be pyrotechnics at this show for a short duration of time.
Is there an Age Policy?
Guests aged under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.
Children under the age of 2 will not be permitted access into the Stadium.
No under 14s on pitch standing areas.
Any children aged 3 – 11year old attending the show with adults, will be issued with a wristband to wear onto which the adult contact details can be written in case of separation.
Where is the ticket office?
The ticket office is located on the Basketball court on Witton Lane.
What if there is an issue with my ticket?
If you are outside the Stadium, please go to the Ticket Office just off Witton Lane.
If you are inside the Stadium, please speak to a member of our Security Stewarding or Welfare teams for assistance.
I’ve got a Hospitality ticket – where do I go?
Please refer to your ticket for zone/gate/entrance. Once at your gate/entrance, look for the dedicated Hospitality lane which will be signed.

Where are the nearest toilets outside the stadium?
There will be toilets around the Stadium.
Will there be any road closures?
Yes. Road Closures around the Stadium will go on from 8pm the evening before the show and remain on throughout the concert. Roads will reopen after the show, once the areas are clear of public.
Which Gate/Entrance do I use?
The 2 main Accessible entrances are :
- Trinity Stand via Gate 1 (Yellow Zone) on Trinity Road
- Doug Ellis Stand (Green Zone) on Witton Lane
Follow the instructions on your ticket to the correct zone/entrance.
What provisions do you have for disabled customers?
Please see our Accessibility page. For any specific support during the show, please ask to speak to one of our Accessible officers.
Do you have any Medical or Welfare Support?
Yes – we will have welfare support officers around the Stadium who will be able to help you should you need it. Look out for them in the pink high-visibility jackets.

Will there be Official Merchandise?
Yes – there will be official merchandise outlets both inside the Stadium, and externally round the perimeter.
Please note that there are minimal outlets inside the Stadium, so we strongly advise that you purchase products from the external outlets before entering the Stadium (there are no pass-outs).
It is anticipated that there will be high demand for official merchandise for this show. As such, the external official merchandise outlet on Witton lane (next to the Ticket office) will be open as follows before the concert date :
- Thursday 3rd July 12noon – 8pm
- Friday 4th July 11am – 9pm
If you are local, we strongly recommend you come down and take advantage of these opening hours before the show day to guarantee your merchandise.
On the concert day, external outlets will be open from 8am, and all outlets will be open at the end of the show but please note that quantities of products are limited. As demand is expected to be high it is strongly recommended that you purchase before the show to avoid disappointment.
