Scott Hogan grabbed a brace as Birmingham City drew 2-2 at mid-table rivals Queens Park Rangers, while Andre Green’s Charlton Athletic suffered a 4-0 defeat at Huddersfield, with the winger playing the full 90 minutes.
In League One, there were wins for Callum O’Hare and Jacob Ramsey for Coventry City and Doncaster Rovers respectively.
O’Hare played the full game as the Sky Blues went top of the table with their 1-0 win against Sunderland, while Doncaster are now 10th following a 3-1 triumph over Wycombe Wanderers, with Ramsey substituted after 86 minutes.
Jake Doyle-Hayes and Lovre Kalinic were not involved for their clubs, but Rushian Hepburn-Murphy played the first half as Derby County’s Under-23s suffered a 4-1 home defeat to Brighton.
Ben Guy was the only Villan in non-league action, but Belper Town were beaten 1-0 at home by Chasetown.
