Shania Hayles is in red hot form heading into Aston Villa Women’s top of the table clash against Durham on Sunday.
The forward followed up a brace in the FA Cup against top tier Brighton with the opening goal in a 3-0 win at home to Charlton last weekend.
The 20-year-old has now scored nine goals in her first full season of senior football, and she’s loving life at the club since re-joining from Birmingham in the summer.
She said: “It’s everything that I’ve been working towards this season, and for it to be happening now with me getting goals, it can’t get much better for me.
“We still build on this and hopefully there are more starts and goals to come from me.
“It’s been amazing with the coaching staff and the players. It’s been great."
Earlier in the season, the speedy striker built a reputation as an impact substitute after she routinely came off the bench to score crucial goals.
And after biding her time, Hayles is now an integral part of Gemma Davies’ starting XI as Aston Villa push for promotion.
Their title credentials face a stern examination on Sunday when they take on second place Durham, but Hayles is confident her team can strengthen their grip on top spot with an eighth straight win.
“We always know that it’s going to be hard going away to Durham, with the travel and stuff,” she said.
“Hopefully with the form that we’re in, we can go out there and get the three points.
“That would help us reach our season goal, which is to get a promotion spot.”
