An information evening for the Aston Villa Foundation’s flourishing Football and Education course will take place in the New Year.
On 14th January, parents and students are invited to Villa Park to see the pathways on offer via the Foundation's post-16 education programmes.
The evening, which will be held in the Directors Club from 6:30-8pm, will provide a detailed look at the academic routes on offer through our education partners and the football side of the course.
Football and Education Co-ordinator Andrew Coley has overseen the growth of the course in recent years, and he believes Aston Villa offers a great pathway for young people.
He said: “It’s getting better year-on-year and it’s an exciting time to be part of the Football and Education course.
“The exit routes are the key for us – the footballing side is the icing on the cake, but it’s about where the young people go after they finish with us.
“We’ve had students go onto higher education and we’ll do everything in our power to help every young person fulfil their potential.”
The Foundation runs the course alongside three education providers: Aston Manor Academy, Halesowen College and Shelfield College.
Dependent on the provider, students can choose from BTECs, A Levels and 1st4Sport qualifications alongside representing Aston Villa in matches.
