Across the weekend of 7th and 8th December, Aston Villa Women and Aston Villa will be strongly supporting the Stonewall Rainbow Laces campaign.
Look out for our 'All In' selfie frames and giveaways with fan squad and members of Villa and Proud around the stadium.
There will be lots more going on to support the campaign which will be announced later this week.
Why the campaign matters
Discrimination has no place at Villa Park or anywhere else.
Seven in 10 football fans who’ve attended a match have heard or witnessed homophobia on the terraces
One in ten LGBT people (10 per cent) who attended a live sporting event in the last year experienced discrimination because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity
17 per cent of lesbian, gay, bi and trans people have experienced homophobia or transphobia in sport 49 per cent have witnessed homophobia or transphobia in sport
(Taken from Leagues Behind (2009), Out for Sport (2012) and LGBT in Britain – Hate Crime (2017))
