At a Glance
Aston Villa resume their Premier League campaign on Wednesday, when they visit Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.
Dean Smith’s side will look to continue their good run of form following a 2-2 draw at Manchester United and a 2-0 success over Newcastle United this side of the last international break.
It is likely to be another enthralling encounter, with Villa having put on an impressive display at Old Trafford over the weekend.
Speaking in Tuesday’s pre-match press conference, Dean Smith confirmed Wednesday’s game at the Bridge will come too soon for Anwar El Ghazi.
The Dutch winger picked up a leg injury in the build-up to Jack Grealish’s opener at Old Trafford on Sunday, but will hopefully return to full fitness later in the week.
Elsewhere, Frederic Guilbert will play no part on Wednesday having picked up his fifth booking of the season against Manchester United.
Jota has fully recovered from a hernia operation, and is available for selection. Jed Steer and Keinan Davis remain out.
Dean Smith addressed the media ahead of Wednesday's game, and you can watch the full press conference below.
